About Margie Salcedo Rice

Margie Salcedo Rice, vocalist and violinist has been praising the Lord with her inspiring original music. Her new solo album, In Your Holiness was released in 2010. Her music spans from the traditional classics to original contemporary Christian. She has recorded two other albums with the Salcedo Sisters, By My Side and Carry Me On, distributed through Chapel Records. Margie is currently seen on Three Angels Broadcasting Network, (3ABN), Loma Linda Broadcasting Network, (LLBN)  and Hope Channel, Christian satellite stations with a worldwide viewing audience. She has appeared on the popular Voice of Prophecy Family Reunion Video and Concert Series since 1998. In 2008 she was one of the featured artists on their Family Reunion Caribbean Cruise performing solo and with other artists. In 2005 she performed at the General Conference Session of SDA in St. Louis, the ASI convention in Sacramento and Net 98 and 2005 with Doug Batchelor. She also appeared with Doug in Washington, D.C., on the “The Ten Commandments” evangelistic series featured live on 3ABN. In 2009 she has performed live on 3ABN with Evangelist Kenneth Cox, Family Reunion Concert with the Voice of Prophecy live in Palm Springs and has given concerts all over the country and abroad. In 2010 she performed along with her sisters at the General Conference Session in Atlanta Georgia and was featured on a 3ABN Today Television program. In August of 2014, Margie along with the Salcedo sisters and family were featured in concert at the Loma Linda University Church.

In January 2009, Margie took a two-month sabbatical from her music to donate her kidney to her father who was born with Polycystic Kidney Disease. They have both successfully recovered with God’s help. Margie has written many songs that share her life experiences and how God has walked her through them. Her new album features “The Gift of Love,” “In Your Holiness,” “The Touch of God’s Love,” original songs that God has inspired her to write. Her producers are Kristin Wilkinson and David Huntsinger from Nashville, TN, and ET Everett with 3 ABN Sound Center.

She has been featured at many Camp meetings which include Redwood Campmeeting, Loma Linda University Church, New Mexico, Texas, Idaho. She has made solo appearances for the Net 99 Evangelistic Series with Doug Batchelor, Billy Graham Crusade with John Wesley White, the Ukiah Symphony Orchestra, Loma Linda University concert series, and numerous other performance venues. She frequently solos with the Ukiah Symphony and chamber groups playing the violin and singing. In December 2025 she was the featured soloist playing the violin with the Ukiah Symphony Orchestra performing “Lark Ascending” by Ralph Vaughn Williams.

Her dedication to music continues on the local level. She is currently concertmistress of the Ukiah Symphony Orchestra. This is her 40th season with the Ukiah Symphony Orchestra. She has also conducted and directed the annual “Glory of Christmas Cantata” which is now in its 35th season and features the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra from the Ukiah SDA Church.

She currently teaches private violin lessons and directs the Ukiah Junior Academy Chorale, a group of 7-10th graders at Ukiah Junior Academy, plus she teaches advanced and beginning strings at the private Christian school. In 2005 she performed at Carnegie Hall with her youth choir and in 2006 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Her other activities have included teaching Orchestra at Rio Lindo Academy and producing a children’s television program called “Kid’s Praise” for 3 ABN.

Margie was born in St. Helena, California, to Ecuadorian parents, Fernando and Marta Salcedo, and grew up speaking Spanish and English. Her love for music was nurtured at a young age when she studied piano and violin and singing in choirs and small groups in Riverside, California.

God has blessed her music ministry and she continues to sing and play for Him giving concerts both locally and throughout the country.

She is married to Geoffrey Rice, a local ophthalmologist aand has three lovely daughters, Jessica, Patricia, and. Elizabeth, all of whom are accomplished musicians.  She is blessed with 5 grandsons who bring her great joy.  She is a California licensed attorney working at Carter Rich law firm specializing in civil law.  Margie and her husband reside in Ukiah, California.
